Meet the Board

Introducing Renée, a seasoned and accomplished professional with over 20 years of experience as a C-level Senior Executive Assistant. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Renée made a move to Atlanta in search of better weather and new opportunities and has been thriving in the city for the past decade. During her time here, she fell in love with the Brookhaven neighborhood and the CW Community in Sept of 2019. She served on her previous Board as Treasurer & Vice President, showcasing her leadership and dedication to her role. With her wealth of experience and her passion for the community, Renée is sure to be a valuable asset to Carlyle Woods.

Article 4, Section 5;  PRESIDENT: The chief executive officer of the Association and shall preside at all meetings of the members and of the board. the president shall have all the general powers and duties which are incident to the office and the president of the corporation organized under the Georgia nonprofit corporation code, including, but not limited to, The power to appoint committees from among the members from time to time as he or she may in his or her discretion decide to appropriate to assist in the conduct of the affairs of the association.

Article 4, Section 8;  TREASURER: The Treasurer shall have the responsibility for all the Association's funds and securities and shall be responsible for keeping full and accurate financial records and books of accounts showing all receipts and disbursements, for preparing all required financial statements and tax returns, and for the deposit of all monies and other valuable effects in the name of the Association or the managing agent in such depositories as may from time to time be designated by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall be responsible for the preparation of the budget as provided in the Declaration. The Treasurer may delegate all or a part of the preparation and notification duties associated with the above responsibilities to a management agent.

Meet Boni Wendel, a retired Nurse Practitioner with over 40 years of experience in healthcare, bringing her expertise and managerial skills to our community. Boni, her husband and their beloved westie, Bailey, made the move to Brookhaven in 2014 to be closer to their family and now call Marietta home to watch over their beautiful grandbaby. With a connection to Unit 508 dating back to 2006, Boni is an integral part of our community, and we are honored to have her serve as Board President. 

Article 4, Section 7; SECRETARY:  The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings of the members and of the Board of Directors and shall have charge of such books and papers as the Board of Directors may direct and shall, In general, perform all duties incident to the office of the secretary of Corporation organized under Georgia law.

Nathaniel is originally from Alpharetta, GA, and has spent the majority of his life in the Atlanta metropolitan area. After completing his education at Duke University, Nathaniel took a brief detour to Dallas, TX, before settling back in Atlanta in 2016. Currently residing at Carlyle Woods since 2021, Nathaniel has called Brookhaven his home and cherishes the area for the great mix of people, diverse dining options, and the quiet neighborhood feel, yet the lively feeling it gives of being close to the city. Nathaniel has really enjoyed his time on the board and is dedicated to helping make Carlyle Woods a better place to live.
